LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT)- After a year off, La Crosse County’s Veterans Bonanza is back.
The bonanza took place this afternoon at the La Crosse Center.
The event is an educational networking event for veterans, their families, and people of the community who care for our veterans.
Dozens of vendors in the tri-state area, dedicated to healthcare, counseling, tax prep, and employment services were there to help.
Event organizers say some veterans may not know what they’re eligible for and this event helps clear that up.
“It’s an event where we bring in for-profit, non-profit, government, and non-government agencies really just to educate some of the veterans about benefits they may be eligible for but not currently aware of or don’t know how to access it,” said La Crosse County Veterans Services Officer, Adam Flood.
La Crosse County Veteran Services say they had around 60 vendors in total and were expecting more than 500 people to participate.
