Ryan Reynolds is not passing up any chance to give his wife her (metaphoric) flowers.
The 2022 Icon Award recipient delivered a heartfelt acceptance speech at the People's Choice Awards on Tuesday night, honoring his wife, Blake Lively, and their children.
The Deadpool actor took to the stage, choking back tears as he became overwhelmed with emotion paying tribute to Lively and their three daughters—seven-year-old James, six-year-old Inez, and three-year-old Betty. The Gossip Girl alum was absent from the ceremony, as she is currently pregnant with the couple's fourth child.
"I feel like I'm at my funeral, but I get to leave. I guess I finally tested positive for icon. I have been avoiding it for years, but here we are," Ryan jokingly said.
The 46-year-old kicked off his touching speech with a sweet nod to his parents' continued support. "To my mom, three brothers, and one of which is sitting over there, and to my dad who left us a few years ago. If you could see all the things that have been going on, he would be impressed, but you would be blown away by his three little granddaughters," he gushed.
Welling up with sincere feelings, Ryan continued: "Thank you Blake and my three daughters. It's going to be a fourth child very soon. Blake and my girls, you are quite literally my heart, hope and happiness. I joke that my family exhausts me, but you give me more strength than any man can possibly deserve."
The couple tied the knot in 2012, recently celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary this past September.
Reynolds also got a huge surprise of his own at the show when Shania Twain performed her popular hit "That Don't Impress Me Much" on stage with a twist, changing the original lyrics to include a name-drop of her fellow honoree.
