Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively looked cozy as ever in matching beige outfits yesterday, when the couple were spotted masked up and holding hands while taking a stroll through NYC.
Lively wore stripes on stripes with a multicolored scarf and pinstriped trench coat. She completed her ensemble with a floral midi skirt, a navy blue cap, and white Nike sneakers. Reynolds opted for a more form-fitting ensemble with a simple beige button-down and olive-green pants.
The two have been rarely seen out in public, especially after welcoming their third daughter, Betty Reynolds, back in September of 2019. Lively and Reynolds kept the news of their third daughter stealthily under the radar until the weeks following her birth. “My family: That’s the thing that I feel most protective of and the thing that I feel is the most exposed when I feel exploited,” Lively told Marie Claire in 2016.
“I’d rather not have to deal with [the paparazzi] at all, but we knew the lifestyle we were getting into, and while it’s hard … it’s another thing when it’s our child,” she added to the magazine.
Extremely family oriented, Lively and Reynolds take strides to ensure that their public images don’t infringe upon the lives of their daughters. “Blake and Ryan are two extremely proud and private people and keeping their relationship low-key and off radar is what’s worked so well for them over the years,” a source told Us Weekly last December. “Away from the cameras, people may find it surprising to hear they’re just a regular couple who love to hang out and do the normal things together without making a song and dance about it all,” the source said.
However, their private persona by no means discourages the couple from goofing off together on social media, displaying their affection online. Case in point: Lively recently shared an adorable post of Reynolds taking the reins over her hair, with the iconic caption, “That time I f*d my hairdresser.”
