Norwich — The City Council will hold a public forum at 6 p.m. Tuesday to gather information from residents and business owners who suffered flood loss and storm damage from the remnants of storm Ida Sept. 1-2.
The forum will be held at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall, 100 Broadway.
Members of the public are requested to bring lists of damaged or lost items, based on the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s verifiable loss statements in order to be counted in the county’s total loss statement, Mayor Peter Nystrom said.
Gathering the information is the beginning of the process for New London County to be declared a disaster area. The city’s data must be submitted by Thursday, Sept. 16.
