VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- Tables and tents are being put up Saturday morning for the Military Owned Market, a once-a-month event showcasing some of the region's small businesses owned by military veterans.
Over 20 businesses are expected to be at the market. The businesses range from food, coffee, handmade products, among others. One of those businesses is Pork and More based in Virginia Beach.
Alexandra Craig, the organizer and a military spouse, said this event is a great way to support local businesses, veterans, and keep dollars local.
The Military-owned Market is Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. in front of 1701 Coworking on the corner of Baltic Ave and Virginia Beach Ave.
