Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the plug has been pulled on a highlight of the Christmas season in Lively.
The Anderson Farm Heritage Museum Society, which traditionally holds a Christmas tree lighting celebration at the Anderson Farm Museum, has cancelled the event due to COVID-19 concerns.
“It is with very heavy hearts that the board of directors have come to the decision to cancel the 2020 AFMHS 14th-Annual Christmas Tree-Lighting Celebration at the Anderson Farm Museum,” AFMHS president Forbes Stoodley said in a release. “With information seeming to change on an almost daily basis, we cannot predict when it will be safe for everyone to be together again.”
