The New Jersey film scene just keeps expanding — and the latest movie to be filmed in Hoboken is novelist Colleen Hoover’s ‘It Ends With Us’ — starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. Read on for what we know about the newest filming in Hoboken.

Readers shared updates from their buildings in Hoboken with us — with one building’s notification sharing details around the film shoot at the Hudson Tea buildings. As it turns out, this film crew is actually for a movie called “Relay,” which will star Lily James, Sam Worthington, and Riz Ahmed, per Deadline.
However, Colleen Hoover’s novel-turned-film ‘It Ends With Us’ is also filming in Hoboken on 10th + Bloomfield, and will be there until Friday, May 12th. See signage from the crew below.
The book follows a girl named Lily who has just moved and is ready to start her life after college. Lily then meets Ryle, falling for him. As she is developing feelings for Ryle, Atlas, her first love, reappears and challenges the relationship between Lily and Ryle.

The motion picture is being filmed in Hoboken this week, and stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.
“The fact that we are now discussing a movie that’s made from a book that was loosely inspired by my mother is bittersweet,” Hoover said. “Anyway, didn’t mean for this to turn into a sobfest. Our Lily is going to be played by Blake Lively. Blake Lively, y’all. She’s my dream Lily,” Colleen shared on her Instagram.
Regarding Justin Baldoni’s casting, she explained, “I just thought that he had what it takes to play that character,” she said. “The good news is he’s gonna be Ryle. So we have our Ryle and our Lily.”
“I think that Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively have what it takes to bring these characters to life,” Hoover added after revealing the two as being cast for the roles.

It’s unknown if the actors will be filming scenes in Hoboken with the crew, but according to sources close to the film, the movie sets will be midtown the next few days.
