Weeks after donating $200,000 (£160,000) to the NAACP's legal defence fund in response to the death of George Floyd, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have reached further into their own pockets for another good cause.
The couple, who have been together since 2012, have reportedly made another $200,000 (£160,000) donation, in aid of Canada's National Indigenous History Month.
According to Entertainment Tonight Canada, Lively and Reynolds donated the money to St. Francis Xavier University's Coady Institute's new initiative, the Circle of Abundance, 'which hopes to amplify indigenous women’s voices and leadership.'
Their generous gift kicks off a campaign to raise $1 million for the worthy cause.
'We’re so happy to support the incredible work of the Coady Institute’s program with Indigenous Women,' the famous pair's statement read. 'We’re blown away by the conversations we’ve had and the work they do and look forward to joining them on this journey.'
This statement comes weeks after 43-year-old Reynolds gave us a brief insight into his and 32-year-old Lively's life under lockdown.
Speaking to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show over video call, the philanthropist actor gushed about his three daughters (James 5, Inez 3 and their 9 month old baby).
'Frankly, I think it sets a dangerous precedent Jimmy,' the Deadpool actor joked. 'When we look back at this years from now, they're going to think about me and how I used to be a present dad....
'It's actually been amazing,' Reynolds said seriously. 'I'm trying to let myself appreciate it as much as possible because there's so many people around the world that this isn't a good thing, it's causing a lot of anxiety for a lot of people. So I'm trying to let myself appreciate the face time with the family and spending as much time as possible.'
It seems like the adorable couple are truly taking this time to reflect on what's important, good for them.
