HYATTSVILLE, Md. – After taking the last year off, the National High School Hoops Festival was back in action on the campus of DeMatha just outside of Washington DC. Over the last decade or so, the Festival has established itself as one of the top high school hoops showcases in the country and the first day of action at the 2021 edition only enhanced the reputation of the Separation Sports Management production.
The nation’s No. 1 player Dereck Lively II who is headed to Duke was on hand, but it was Xavier bound top 50 senior Tyrell Ward who stole the show. Read on for more on Ward and Saturday’s opening day standouts.
