FERNLEY, Nev. (KOLO) - Hundreds of people gathered at the Out of Town park in Fernley on Sunday to celebrate the life of Naomi Irion. Naomi’s favorite music played as attendees lined up to write words of support in ‘’guest books’ for the Irion family to keep.
Gifts left behind by community members could be seen at the steps of the park stage, while photos of Naomi and drawings by her little brothers lined the park.
“On March 12th, my world changed, my family is changed forever, the world changed, this town changed, and I know its horrible and we have a lot of healing to do but lets make the change a good one.”
Monday, the Irion family heads back to their hometown of Houston, Texas to put Naomi to rest, next to her brother.
