PEORIA (Heart of Illinois ABC) - Hundreds of Central Illinois’s most fanatic cigar smokers met up at Jimmy’s Bar in West Peoria on Friday and Saturday for some smoking fun.
The bar was full of new and old cigar lovers. This was a tradition they had for over a decade. President of the Gentlemen’s Cigar Society of Central Illinois, Mark Little said cigars were a great way to bring people together, and the event was always well attended because of that.
“It’s a great opportunity to come to learn about cigar smoking. There’re cigars for sale here, for beginners and for what we would call the aficionado, who has been smoking for a long time,” Little said.
To add to the celebration, it was also the 40th anniversary of Jimmy’s Bar.
