CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Men, women and children walked from Conwell Park to Veterans Parking hoping to raise awareness for human trafficking.
People were wearing blue and yellow. The yellow represented Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R.) an organization that rescues human trafficking victims and blue represents child abuse awareness.
Ali Pousha, the O.U.R. volunteer leader said this movement is important.
“You can go to the Operation Underground Railroad website and learn the signs of human trafficking and what to do if you see somebody who you think is being trafficked or you think is in jeopardy,” Pousha said.
She added being a mom was one motivation for her to organize this.
“If we compounded all these people with all of this extra love to give what could we do for these children who really need it,” Pousha said.
Hoping to get people curious about the organization is something Pousha hopes to get out of doing this.
“I hope it makes people a little uncomfortable,” Pousha said.
