The mother of three had a pretty great acting career and salary pay even before meeting Reynolds on the set of Green Lantern. Lively has a net worth of $16 million, thanks to her starring role on the hit late CW series Gossip Girl. According to DailyMail, Lively brought in “$1.1 million during season 3, making about $60,000 per episode.” That is no small fret. The Gossip Girl actress knows how to make money without the help of her husband. Talk about girl power! Additionally, Lively went on to take on more lucrative roles in films like The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, The Town and even Green Lantern. Sources even report that the three movies alone earned an estimated total of $200 million, meaning that Lively must’ve got a huge paycheck after starring in Green Lantern.
The Green Lantern Wasn’t The Couples Only Big Payday
Clearly, the couple doesn’t need each other’s help in amassing millions of dollars from a film project. They’re equally wealthy actors and have their own set of unique talents that makes them stand out from the crowd. With that being said, the two went on to receive even bigger paychecks after staring in the 2011 Green Lantern film.
Blake Lively, for instance, cashed in on a major film project Rhythm Section that came out back in January 31, 2020. According to news reports, the film alone had a $50 million budget, which only meant that Lively got paid big time. Not to mention, producers probably coughed up a few extra bucks after she broke her hand on set just to cover workers' compensation fees.
While we’re sure Ryan Reynolds sustained some injuries of his own while starring in superhero films, he had huge paychecks to make up for it. The 44-year-old’s net worth certainly increased after taking the lead role in the Marvel anti-hero film Deadpool.

In 2017, Forbes reported that Reynolds was one of the highest-paid actors in the industry, as he earned $21.5 alone for that year. Just like his wife, the star can hold his own.
Green Lantern was one of the worst superhero films of the century and the couple may have regretted accepting their roles in the end, but they can’t deny the monetary boost it gave their careers. It seems that after starring in the failed DC film, they instantly rose in net worth and were tapped for roles that made them even richer.
