NAPLES, Fla. — Hundreds of engines revved throughout Naples to honor a man’s life lost too soon.

Hundreds gathered off Immokalee Road Sunday evening for a ride to remember 20-year-old Bryan Fly who lost his life in a motorcycle crash on Oil Well Road Sunday, Nov. 14.

Fly was set to become a firefighter with the Greater Naples Fire Department where he would have been co-workers with his dad and a fourth-generation firefighter, according to family friends.

“We made Bryan an honorary firefighter so he’s got his own number-321-you’ll be seeing that around here a lot,” Jason Bright said.

Friends, family and community members gathered to ride around 10 miles to the crash site to honor Fly’s life and legacy.

Krissy and Jason Bright’s son grew up with Fly. They helped organize the event as the number of people attending grew. They said that judging by who Fly was, they’re not surprised by the enormous turnout to remember him.

“There’s so many people who have done stuff and are wanting to do more,” said Krissy Bright. “I know he’s looking down on us and he’s happy watching all of us.”

Fly is being remembered by friends as a man who loved to ride his motorcycle and could light up any room he walked in.

“Bryan loved riding, he loved all of us, wish miss him,” said his childhood friend, Chris Bright.

A memorial has been installed in the area where Fly crashed. Many there Sunday said they wanted to use the day to remember all the great things about who Fly was.

“It’s just a way for us to say our last goodbye,” a group of Fly’s friends said.
