Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have proved that they are the ultimate power couple time and time again since their nuptials in 2012, as they balance marriage, parenthood, careers and charitable work.
Despite their demanding schedules and parenting three daughters (James, seven, Inez, five and Betty, two), the couple continue to get heavily involved in meaningful projects close to their hearts.
The pair's recent act of good will involved donating a generous sum of £10,000 to show support for suffers of stillbirth. They also donated upwards of £741,000 ($1 million) to the American Civil Liberties Union and NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund to fight for social equity.
Now, 34-year-old Lively and 45-year-old Reynolds are using their fame to get behind a different cause, which sees them focussing on politics.

Encouraging millennials and Gen Z to establish careers in a highly competitive and public-facing field, the pair are urging the youth of today to run for state and local office.
Political organisation Run for Something, which supports young people with their journey towards running for office, in a bid to develop a progressive industry, shared a post on their Instagram page that honoured the couple.

Accompanying an image of Lively and Reynolds, a caption by the organisation read: 'Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively want to help you run for something!
'The friends-of-democracy are all-in to support the Run for Something mission and are committed to encouraging young folks to get involved and run for state or local office. Millennials and Gen-Z are the largest demo in the U.S. but we represent a small margin of elected officials across all levels of government. We can change that.'
The image also came with a message that highlighted the duo's work, which added: 'The actors have generously committed to supporting millennials and Gen Z ready to run for state and local office in 2022 and beyond.'
Delighted fans commemorated the news, with one person writing: 'Incredible! I love this power couple so much! [sic]'
Another fan sweetly gushed: 'I’m a huge fan of both of you (for obvious celebrity reasons of course), but I also love that you prioritise social action and how you use your status for good!! It’s rare nowadays, but I really respect the support that you, as a couple, show to charitable organisations and help make the world a better place. Thank you from all of us! [sic].

Echoing the positive messages directed at the pair, one person wrote: 'Ugh love them even more now.[sic]'
Reynolds and Lively later shared the post from the organisation's page on their own individual Instagram stories.
The Adam Project actor's message read, 'Run run run', while Lively highlighted the initiative with a gif that urges people to join the organisation in supporting young people pursue a career in politics.

In the past, the actors have received similar praise for their support of humanitarian causes.
After donating to American Civil Liberties Union and NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, the Legal Defense Fund tweeted: 'LDF is hugely grateful to Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds for matching all gifts up to $1,000,000 split between LDF and @ACLU through October 8. Their generosity comes at a critical time for our democracy.[sic]'
