ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – SEIU Healthcare MN & IA members will be holding a press conference as the union pushes for higher wages to address worker shortages and low morale for workers.
The union is asking for a $20 minimum wage for all workers with proportional wage increases.
SEIU reports the bargaining unit contains surgical techs, central service techs, sterile processing techs, linen services, environmental services, patient escorts, patient care assistants, and facilities management.
The group is also expected to announce an informational picket date.
Thursday’s gathering will be on the sidewalk outside Methodist.
