Video conferencing and phone calls are recommended as pandemic friendly
WISCCONSIN (WKBT) – Green Bay Packers fans are getting excited for Sunday’s big NFC championship game at Lambeau.
The Green and Gold are hoping to return to the Super Bowl for the first time in ten years.
And that may have fans wanting to come together to cheer on the team.
A UW Health doctor stresses there are a lot of reasons why that’s not a good idea in the middle of the pandemic.
“It likes when we take our masks off. It likes when we’re close together, when we start yelling and screaming. That is really the perfect environment for this disease to spread. So we can’t do that this year. We need to enjoy the Packers, but we gotta do it safely,” said UW Health emergency medicine physician Dr. Jeff Pothof.
Video conferences and phone calls are ways that Doctor Pothof suggests to enjoy the game safely with others.
