Under Tennessee Law, a 21-year-old person who lawfully possesses and is in a place where he or she is lawfully present, can carry an open or concealed handgun. A person cannot carry if they are a convicted felon, have been convicted of a DUI once within the last five years, or two within in the last ten years if they're adjudicated as mental defective, or convicted of stalking.
