Ryan Reynolds put trolling his wife Blake Lively aside over the weekend to gush about the actress and their mothers.
To celebrate Mother’s Day in the US on Sunday May 10, the actor shared a photograph of Lively, his mother Tammy and Lively’s mother Elaine on his Instagram account.
‘I salute these three incredible mothers for their wisdom, strength and ability to forever appear as though they’re standing at the doorway to their own surprise birthday party,’ he captioned the sweet photograph.
Lively’s sister Robyn commented on the post: ‘Hahaa yess totallyyyy!! We all inherited that magical trait [sic].’
Last month, Reynolds revealed that he, Lively and their three daughters are in quarantine during the coronavirus pandemic with the actress’ mother.
The actor joked that a charity T-shirt emblazoned with the phrase ‘Conquer Covid-19’ on the chest had secret powers to help him avoid his in-law.
'This shirt is so unremarkable that it actually renders its wearer completely invisible. For instance, I’m quarantining with my mother-in-law, and she’s been looking for me for days,' he said, looking off into the distance.
The video ends with Elaine calling his name as she’s unable to find him. A disclaimer on the video reads: ‘No mothers-in-law were severely harmed in the making of this movie.’

Reynolds has regularly been updating his fans with how he’s coping in quarantine in the US with his family.
Earlier this month, the actor said that while lockdown has been difficult, it has also been 'amazing' to spend more time with his family.
'I'm trying to let myself appreciate it as much as possible because there's so many people around the world that this isn't a good thing, it's causing a lot of anxiety for a lot of people,' he told Jimmy Kimmel on his TV show last week.
'So I'm trying to let myself appreciate the face time with the family and spending as much time as possible.'
The Deadpool actor also make a joke about his wife and children, adding: 'Of course it was a toss up who to spend quarantine with... my publicly facing family or my secret family in Denmark... I went with the Hollywood family and it's been great, it's a decision I don't regret at all.'
Last month, he also spoke to Stephen Colbert via video link on The Late Show about how he's been keeping busy.
‘We’re lucky enough to have a little, tiny garden, so we’re learning a bit about gardening. We’re trying to make this an educational experience,’ he revealed, jokingly adding, ‘But I’m mostly drinking.’
