Blake Lively knows how to make a statement.

The actress and mom of four stepped out for Taylor Swift's birthday dinner on Wednesday night in New York City wearing a black plongé leather sheath dress from Michael Kors Collection with a thigh-high slit to show off her patterned stockings — and her trusty over-the-knee Fabiola Christian Louboutin boots.

Lively, 36, also dressed up her look with plenty of jewels, rocking stacks of bracelets on both wrists, hoop earrings and fingers full of rings. She carried a box clutch to round out her accessories.

The Simple Favor star wore her long blonde hair down and in soft curls, similar to Swift's style. For glam, she opted for an evening look, choosing a dark mauve lip to complement her bestie's bright red color.

Lively was by Swift's side in New York as the singer celebrated her 34th birthday. Swift wore a Clio Peppiat Lucina Embellished Stretch-mesh black mini dress, which currently retails for $2,335. The minidress featured embellishments that resembled a nightscape and included imagery of sparkling clouds, stars and a crescent moon. Swift accessorized with a mini bucket bag that was encrusted completely with jewels, a pair of black open-toed high heels and a black Anine Bing faux fur jacket that she wore off the shoulder, plus Messika earrings.

Swift and Lively love a night out together — and they love a twinning moment. The pair event have the same Louis Vuitton Camera Box bag (which retails for $3,450 on the Louis Vuitton website) that they've been seen carrying on separate occasions while out in New York City.

On Sept. 30, Lively stepped out hand in hand with Swift wearing the bag that Swift had worn just weeks before. The Gossip Girl alum teamed handbag with a beige crop top under a tweed blazer, an autumnal striped skirt, tall heeled boots and layers of chain necklaces. 

Earlier in the month, the “Anti-Hero” artist was photographed exiting an album release party with the same bag slung over her shoulder. 

Similar to Lively’s attire, Swift’s outfit featured a skin-baring top, a skirt and knee-high boots, but it took on a more preppy-forward vibe courtesy of the gray pleated skort.
