AMIDST MANY DIFFERENT SIGNS-- áánat popáá PROTESTORS HAD ONE CLEAR MESSAGE (show 'honk for peace sign') áánat pop of people honkingáá "When they honk they let everyone around them in public, which is kind of an important step, know how they feel in very simple terms, the fact that they are human and that they stand with humanity." SOME OF THE PROTESTORS TOLD ME THEY HAD PERSONAL CONNECTIONS TO THE CAUSE THEY'RE FIGHTING FOR. "I'm from the Middle East and I'm American, so I'm a bridge of peace. I don't believe in taking sides. I believe in basically supporting humanity and fostering peace and being rational, doing things that make sense, that align with our values. EVEN THOUGH THE PROTEST IS LABELED AS PRO-PALESTINIAN-- PROTESTERS SAY THEY WANT PEACE FOR ALL. "we support the families of the hostages in Israel want this to end. We support them. We support the people of Gaza." <> "Stop the murder and killing" FOR MANY THIS ISN'T THE FIRST MARCH THEY'VE ATTEND IT...AND THEY TELL ME IT WON'T BE THE LAST "we're basically going to have things like this every weekend, if not every other weekend indefinitely.." <> "You'll see us getting more organized. Pro-Palestinian protesters gather in Rogers, calling for a Gaza ceasefire. Among the many different signs, protesters had one clear message.“Everyone who's here cares about people, their human rights. We care about justice, peace and we're showing solidarity with those who are experiencing atrocities at this moment. The first thing that we really need right now is for everyone in our country to pressure their representatives to back an immediate ceasefire,” said protester JC Bassicly.There were many signs calling for drivers to 'honk for peace.'“When they honk, they let everyone around them in public, which is kind of an important step, know how they feel in very simple terms, the fact that they are human and that they stand with humanity,” Bassicly said.Many protesters told me they have a personal connection to the cause they're fighting for.“I'm from the Middle East and I'm American, so I'm a bridge of peace.
