The Southeast Salem Neighborhood Association, SESNA, held its Saturday Sidewalk Sale on July 24 at the Capital Park Wesleyan Church on Mill and 19th Street.

Neighbors gathered to hear local bands, enjoy popcorn and cotton candy and pursue some of the sales and information tables.

Shannon Priem of Salem Health staffed a table with information about the neighborhood association, health care, and the Willamette Humane Society.  Her boothmate, Sunnie, a labrador, assisted.

Jauna Graven was selling an extensive collection of wicker baskets and plants.  Others had collectibles and toys.

The highlight of the event was the homemade “dunk tank.”  Mei Yankus tested it out before Lead Pastor Claude Alley sat in the seat. Outreach Pastor John Chamberlain was anxious to hit the target and watch his colleague get drenched.

SESNA, the Southeast Salem Neighborhood Association, was founded in 1976 and is today one of 18 neighborhood associations in the City of Salem, Oregon.  Find your neighborhood association here.
